It has a sunken screen, instead of one flush with the bezel. The Inkbook Lumos has a uninspiring design. It is powered by a 2000 mAh battery, weighs 165 grams and the dimensions are 159×114×9 mm. There is WIFi, 128MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and an SD capable of supporting an additional 32GB. Underneath the hood is a 1.5 GHZ Dual-Core Cortex A9 processor, instead of a Freescale, so performance is definitely an issue. You can either have the screen warm or cold, or a combination of both. Instead of white and orange LED lights on the bottom of the bezel, which has been the trend lately, the Lomus employs white and blue. It has a front-lit display to read in the dark and a new color temperature system. This is an entry level e-reader, similar to the Kindle Basic. The Inkbook Lomus features a six inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800×600 with 167 PPI. The Prime is their bestselling device ever and the upcoming InkBook Infinity is striking all the right notes. The company actually has a good track record of releasing solid e-readers. This is the first abysmal device from Arta Tech. It harkens back to the dark days of pitiful resolution and woeful hardware that make the simple act of reading an agonising experience. ![]() If you're handy with one you could probably make it look even better. The Inkbook Lumos e-reader might be the worst e-reader made in the past four years. Overall, it looks good and I'm not very coordinated with a dremel tool. The curved bottom edge of the Prime leaves a gap in the shell on either side, but the reader stays snugly in place. Oh, and of course I drilled a hole in the back for power button access. If you're not concerned about the magnetic feature, you could just take the tab out to match the other side. The right side buttons are harder to access with the tab in place, but I'm a lefty. Not too much to waste if I had wrecked it I removed the side edge for the buttons on the left and left the magnet closure tab in place on the right, except that I "hollowed" the tab out from the inside (to free up the buttons) and removed the shell on either side of it. The one I got is the "Famavala Case for Kindle (8th Generation)" because it was only $7.95. Thank you in advance.HI, I got a Kindle 8th generation fitted shell case from Amazon and hacked it for access to the physical buttons. I would appreciate suggestions on where to look. I just bought the inkbook prime and am looking for a good cover or case for it. There's something about the area under the envelope flap that I love on this one! It looks like the biggest difference is that the prime is thinner. OMG Flamingos!!!! Although its for the all new kindle rather than the prime. I seem to remember big lots used to have some cheap ereader cases, I might give them a shot before ordering from online. Amazon is sometimes cheaper and a lot quicker with prime, but they don't have everything! And sometimes the item is exactly the same as the aliexpress one, but costs twice as much. I typically buy from Amazon or Aliexpress. Usually I buy a case rather than a sleeve, but I wonder if a sleeve would protect it better when not in use since it wouldn't let sand or dust onto the screen. Here are a few I'm trying to decide between various cases. #4 anabolina 05-25-2017, 02:25 PMI haven't received mine yet, but like you, I've been searching for options.
